According to Vietnam Electricity, it is expected that the total amount that EVN will make to reduce customers in phase 2 is over 3,000 billion VND.

Economist Ngo Tri Long commented, clearly defining the extent of being affected by the COVID-19 pandemic to support the reduction of electricity prices and electricity bills is to ensure the right people and effectively support while the source limited force.

EVN will implement a 100% reduction in electricity bill (pre-tax value) for facilities used for isolation and concentrated medical examination of suspected and infected patients with COVID-19 (according to the list issued by the National Steering Committee, epidemic prevention COVID-19, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Public Security, People's Committees of provinces and cities directly under the Central Government to provide electricity units)

By the end of December 31, 2020, EVN has completed the calculation and issue of invoices to withdraw reduced electricity charges from customers in 3 months, 10, 11 and 12, 2020 according to regulations. This is the basis for Vietnam Electricity and Electricity Corporations to return the support amount to customers in the January 2021 bill.
